Grand Prix Madrid 2026

The Madrid Grand Prix will take place again from 2026 to 2035*. After 2026, the Barcelona Grand Prix will disappear from the calendar and we will have a new Spanish Grand Prix, in Madrid. This means a return of the Grand Prix for the first time since 1981, when it was still at the Circuito Permanente del Jarama. The Madrid Grand Prix will take place from 11-13 September 2026 and will replace the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in Imola on the calendar.

* The circuit still needs to get final FIA approval, but all plans are well advanced, so Madrid is set to be an exciting new addition to the F1 calendar!

Madring

The new 5.47 km circuit features both road and non-road sections with 20 turns. The expected qualifying time is 1 minute and 32 seconds.

Accessibility

The circuit is just 5 minutes from Madrid airport and will be one of the most accessible races on the F1 calendar. It has capacity for over 110,000 fans per day, with plans to increase this to 140,000 per day, making Madrid one of the largest venues on the F1 calendar.
